THE ENDURO PERFORMANCE CHALLENGE
How the score works
Each result is compared with the published age and sex reference tables, then the two event percentiles are averaged. Grip and balance have equal influence.
1. Grip strength
Staff enter the best grip reading in pounds. The app converts pounds to kilograms and interpolates between the international 2025 reference percentiles for the player’s five-year age band and sex.
2. One-foot balance
Players stand barefoot or in shoes on a firm surface, eyes closed, using their usual arms-out position. Record the best of two attempts, with a 30-second rest. Stop the attempt if the eyes open, the free foot touches down, or the player needs support. Scores are capped at 60 seconds.
3. Total score
Total = (grip percentile + balance percentile) ÷ 2. The display keeps one decimal place. A zero measurement earns zero points; values between published thresholds are linearly interpolated. Ages 20–79 are supported by the reference tables.
Leaderboard rules
- Maximum field: 150 entrants; maximum foursome: 4 players.
- Ties share the same rank and prize. Staff can correct an entry until the prize is marked awarded.
- The TV board shows names, foursome, event percentiles, and total score. Raw age, sex, and measurements stay on the staff screen.
